The Islamic Golden Age

While Europe stagnates, the Islamic world preserves and advances Greek knowledge, invents algebra, and pioneers medicine.

Scholars like Al-Khwarizmi (algebra), Ibn Sina (medicine), and Al-Biruni (comparative religion) made breakthroughs that Europe would later build upon. The House of Wisdom in Baghdad was the greatest intellectual center of its age.

Perspective

The "Dark Ages" narrative is Eurocentric garbage. While Europe was busy with feudalism, the Islamic world was doing real science, real philosophy, real medicine. When Europe finally caught up, it was largely because it rediscovered Greek texts through Arabic translations. The debt is enormous and rarely acknowledged.
